Réflexions sur la relation entre philosophie et société à partir de Theodor W. Adorno

Dans cet article, je reprends un fil argumentatif de Theodor W. Adorno : la philosophie repose essentiellement sur la conscience du problème selon lequel elle ne peut pas s’intégrer pleinement dans la société. Il n’en découle pas que la philosophie ne doive plus s’occuper des problèmes politiques et sociaux. Mais le rapport entre la politique et la société, d’une part, et la philosophie, d’autre part, ne peut être que critique. Cela apparaît clairement non seulement dans la manière dont la philosophie d’Adorno doit être comprise comme philosophie sociale, mais aussi dans son concept de société comme concept « emphatique ». Or, de la pensée d’Adorno ne découle aucun défaitisme. À l’appui du concept d’« interventions » (Eingriffe), Adorno explique que la philosophie peut avoir un effet politique et social lorsqu’elle comprend sa pratique comme une contribution constitutive à la sphère publique (Öffentlichkeit), comprise avant tout comme espace de la critique.
