Editorial process
Aitias, in its commitment with performing under the best practices, uses a strict arbitration system known as double-blind procedure; in it, the evaluators are distinguished for being national and foreign researchers of renowned prestige. Their dictations can be: 1.- accepted without changes, 2.- accepted with suggestions, which implies conditioning it to further changes, 3.- rejected. In the event of discrepancy regarding a dictation, the paper is submitted to a third evaluation. If it is conditioned to further changes, the new version gets a second reading by one of the dictators, and the author commits to sending a letter that explains and locates all adaptations made prior to receiving a definitive answer.
The final decision regarding a papers publication rests upon the Editorial Committee by mutual consent with the journal’s Director.
All papers subject to evaluation must be unprecedented and cannot be simultaneously submitted to another journal or media.
During the evaluation process and, when applicable, during the editing process, the Editorial Committee and the Journal’s Director, or the COHS’ editorial team can request changes, as well as consult with the author regarding any aspect of form and content that may be relevant.
